PUNCHING & NOTCHING

Punching is a metal forming process that uses a punch press to force a tool, called a punch, through the work piece to create a hole via shearing. The punch often passes through the work into a die. Punching is often the cheapest method for creating holes in sheet metal in medium to high production volumes. Our Capacity & Equipment includes:

Amada CNC Turret Punch Presses
2 x Amada Vipros 255
1 x AC Amada Punching Machine

  • Max Tonnage: 20 tonnes
  • Max Sheet Size: 2450mm x 1225mm
  • Max Thickness: Mild Steel – 3mm
  • Stainless Steel – 1.6mm
  • Alluminum – 3mm
All machines are equipped with auto-index stations. Special forming tools (knock-outs, louvers, dimples and extrusions)

Notchers
  • 1 x Amada Corner Notcher
  • Various press notchers and tools

BENDING

Our Machinary includes, Amada RG50, Amada RG80, Amada RG100 & Amada HTS130NT. This allows us to have high flexibility and low setup times. We are able to bend single pieces as well as batches with precision and efficiency as series-produced parts in an economical way. Our Operators are fully trained, and we use the latest software! The product programming with direct angle input, for each CNC programme and bend sequence, the programmable or computed functions include:

  • Bending length / thickness
  • Material selection
  • Tooling section
  • Bend method
  • Pinching point
  • Press force / speed
  • Incremental travel and retraction of the back gauge
  • Dwell time, delay time for Axes re-positioning

WELDING

Our Shop set-up is ideally developed to serve the demands of our clients, we can run a 24 hour productions series. We have different welding techniques and options – including CO2, mig-, tig-, arc Welding, stud- & spot Welding.

We have trained Welders insuring on time delivery of your products!

What is CO2 Welding?
CO2 welding is a welding process that uses carbon dioxide to protect the weld pool from oxidisation during the welding process.

It is also known as Metal Inert Gas(MIG), Manual Arc Gas Shielded(MAGS), welding.

CO2 is not the only gas used, it needs to be heavier than air to work.

The weld pool is, a pool of weld or liquid/molten metal that solidifies as one when finished welding, it is usually between two items so as to fuse the pieces together.

CO2 welding uses a long coil of filler wire that is fed in through the handheld torch, this filler wire melts as it completes the electrical circuit by means of an electric arc which reaches temperature of around 3100 degrees Celsius, and unsurprisingly this melts the metal.

LASER CUTTING

Laser Cutting has opened many new doors into different industries. Our machinery, Amada FO4020NT (4kw) & Amada FOM2 3015 MT (4kw), enables us to produce many different products as we are not limited to only steel products. We can produce products from Brass, Copper, Wood, Perspex & Plastic.

Having more than one machine enable us to run 24/7, minimising down time and producing quality laser cut products in a time efficient manner. Our Cutting capabilities are as follows:

2 x Amada 4 Kilo Watt Machines capable of cutting:

  • Mild Steel: 2000 x 4000 x 22mm
  • Stainless Steel: 4000 x 2000 x 12mm
  • Aluminium: 4000 x 2000 x 10 mm
  • Laser Pipe Cutting: 4m x 220 diameter
  • Armoured Plate: 16mm
  • Wood: 20mm
  • Plastic: 10mm

POWDER COATING

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin". The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating is mainly used for coating of metals, such as household appliances, aluminium extrusions, drum hardware, and automobile and bicycle parts

We have 2xCamelback Ovens
- 1x13m Batch Oven
- 1x6m Batch Oven

We can powder coat 6 different colours at the same time. All items that get powder coated go through a 7 stage ZINC PHOSPHATE cleaning process. Products are baked at 200 C. Our batch ovens are ideal for cabinets, light poles etc
